Light, unlike a painting, surrounds the viewer, that is to say the work is no longer on the
wall - instead the viewer is part of the painting. Within my practice I am fascinated by
the experience it can encourage within the viewer, that of the sublime experience.

Light, both natural and artificial, has become my medium within my work and a way of
sculpting space, ultimately seeking to create an experience for the individual whilst
reaching a larger audience, within a selected environment, even if I only bring this to
one person. Without the viewer the work does not exist.
