I have a long standing interest in painting and drawing as a means of expression. Since childhood I have aspired to be an artist but I also wanted to work with people. I combined my BSc in Psychology with a Foundation in Art and went on to train in Art Psychotherapy in 1985 at Hertfordshire College of Art and Design. Here I enjoyed using my studio space to develop my interest in the human condition whilst using art as a vehicle for expression. This lead to work that featured the human form in many guises with charcoal and pastel images of the nude figure.

Having completed an MA in Art Psychotherapy, more recently I have enjoyed using acrylics to explore life painting and have exhibited with a small group of artists.

I will be exhibiting Pylle Emporium, Pylle, BA4 6TA during Somerset art weeks. (see SAW website)
I am now exhibiting in a new gallery in Taunton. Laing and Lewis, Riverside Place, Taunton TA1 1JH

I continue to work in mental health as an art therapist, psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist with groups, adults and children in private practice in Somerset, whilst spending as much time as possible painting in my studio.
