Jonathan Harris is an innovative and creative second-generation designer/glassmaker whose desire to work with glass and constantly experiment with new techniques is his driving force.

Jonathan has worked with glass for more than 20 years. He has researched,developed and refined a wide variety of techniques to combine his fascination with studio glassmaking, technology and graphic arts. He likes to fuse graphic imagery which is often elaborate and figurative with the molten fluidity of hot glass, to create both contemporary and classical art works.

Cameo and gräal, along with multi-layered ‘hot’ surface decoration form the core of Jonathans technical repertoire, enabling tremendous scope for colour, shape and pattern.

Jonathan likes to experiment and challenge the perception of design. He constantly pushes the boundaries of all techniques, constantly searching this often hostile material for undiscovered properties. He is regularly creating highly collectable & decorative designs for the British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, National Gallery, Harrods & Asprey & private collectors worldwide.
